Jean-Benoit Héron is a draftsman. He is an illustrator specializing in architectural drawings, whether "naval" or "land". His illustrations are mainly done in watercolor. Admirer of the plates of the eurostmencyclopédie of Diderot and dâeurostmAlembert, drawings of eurostmarchitecture of XIX e century and the work of the great marine painters, he likes his illustrations to explain things.

Passionate about lighthouses and the history of the navy, he published his first book: " These boats that discovered the world " end of 2013.

" History of lighthouses ", published in November 2015, brings together nearly 200 illustrations of lighthouses in France and elsewhere.

" The boats in my library "published by Glénat in October 2107, was distinguished by the Académie de Marine, which awarded it awarded the "Fine Books" literary prize october 15, 2018. Since then, he has been a permanent guest of the Marine Academy . This same book received a special mention from the Marine Bravo-Zulu in 2019.

In 2020, he launched, with Jean-Yves Delitte the collection "Ãeuros bord" whose first titles are dedicated to the history of Frigates , submarines and Galleys .
