Guillaume Ponçon Long-distance sailor, long-distance traveler, technical specialist

Computer scientist passionate about web and multimedia technologies, Guillaume Ponçon discovered the sea and sailing with the Glénans association in 2010. It was love at first sight. Since then, everything has followed quickly: he acquired "Oleo" in 2011, a 10m aluminum keelboat with which he explored Brittany, the United Kingdom and Ireland from top to bottom.

In 2015, he left for 16 months with his wife, Anne-Sophie, and two young children around the North Atlantic: a journey that will take the little family to Greenland, via the Bahamas, the USA and Canada.

Since 2020, " Arthur ", a sturdy 47-foot sailboat, is preparing to explore the planet, slowly and surely, to better understand and preserve it. The adventures of Arthur and his family crew are reported on Bateaux.com and arthur-expeditions.com . Guillaume proposes on Bateaux.com technical articles on the art and the way to prepare, equip and maneuver a long distance sailboat.
