Marine electronics

The marine electronics indicates to the pilot all the information on board. The speedometer log gives speed, depth sounder indicates depth, wind sensor gives wind strength and direction, VHF communicates, GPS positions you, radar displays hazard, AIS reports the other boats... Gathered on one or more display, on-board electronics enter the safety devices by securing navigation.

The VHF radio alphabet, a guarantee of safety at sea

In order to be understood, whatever the conditions of transmission and the nationality of the interlocutor, it is useful to be able to spell a word or a number according to the radio alphabet (NATO alphabet).
