The 36th edition of the Regates Royales ended on Saturday 26 September

This Saturday, September 26th, the Royal Regattas of Cannes - Panerai Trophy ended. Once again, this event was a success. Ranking of winners by category.

It was with more than summer weather conditions that the Régates Royales de la baie de Cannes ended. Thanks to a magnificent sunshine, the Classics were able to set off on a brand new coastal course. This last regatta had to be shortened due to the prize-giving ceremony, which took place in the village of Les Régates, but allowed some competitors to confirm their first place, such as Mariquita who won the victory in the category Big Boats followed by Moonbeam IV and to Moonbeam of Fife III .

In the category Marconi period > 15 m is Sea bream who won the victory, followed by The Blue Peter and Skylark on equal points.

In the category Spirit of Tradition is Freya 2 003 who comes first, right in front of Shamrock V and Scherzo .

In the category Marconi period is Sirius who won the victory, just ahead of Jalina and Cholita .

In the category Tofinou is Speedbird who won, winning all the races of the week.

There was therefore no possible doubt as to the outcome of these results on these first categories, the winners having flown over the events since the beginning of the week and therefore having accumulated the maximum number of points. For the rest of the ranking, it was the last day that made it possible to close the gaps and take first places, thanks in particular to the decision to remove the worst set.

In the category Auric Era is finally Chinook who took first place on the podium, whereas he had been, all week long, in the shadow of Eva and Duet 1,926 .

Finally, on the side Classical it's Sagittarius who wins this victory, followed by Namib and to Naive .

To finish this ranking, it is Vanity V which emerges as the great winner of the class of 12 MJI despite intense competition with Wings.

The day ended with a statement by Jacques Flori, President of the Cannes Yacht Club "We had an incredible opportunity for this 36th edition of the Cannes Royal Regatta. The organization on land and at sea was perfect and I would like to thank the boat owners, sailors and volunteers. This alchemy between all these people, combined with these magnificent units and an almost perfect weather contributed to the success of the Royales. The competitors really played the game and filled the bay of Cannes with their sails. I am delighted for the Cannes Yacht Club, which organises many regattas and this week has been great. See you next year for the 37th edition."
