Folding the sails aboard a 1934 Ketch

We witnessed the stowage of the sails aboard Adria 1934, a 21.50 m Ketch.

Born on June 12, 1934 for a German industrialist at the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard in Bremen, Germany, Adria 1934 was designed by Artur Tiller, one of the most famous German naval architects of the last century, before being confiscated by the Nazis and subsequently captured by the British Navy.

Today, although it is owned by the Swiss Stephan C. Schlosser, it carries the Dutch flag and sails mainly in the Mediterranean, between Monaco, Antibes, Cannes and Saint-Tropez.

Adria 1934 still participates in a few regattas: the Antibes sails in 2013 and more recently in Cannes where these pictures were taken.
