Volvo Ocean Race - Abu Dhabi Team is never stopped!

After winning the first leg of the Volvo Ocean Race, Abu Dhabi won the In-port race that took place in Cape Town this Saturday, November 15.

For this 8-mile race that took place in Cape Town on Saturday, November 15, Ian Walker's team was clearly in the lead all along. It was only in the final sprint that Team Brunel and Team SCA came back on the leader, giving up a one minute lead to their competitor and allowing him to win this race. Thanks to this second victory, they keep the lead of the In-Port races ranking but also benefit from a good dose of confidence before the start of the 2 ème stage, on November 19.

On the course with irregular winds, from 12 to 20 knots, and threatening showers, Team Alvamedica encountered a problem with its mainsail. Second place was hotly contested by Team SCA and Team Brunel, who were close behind Ian Walker's team. In the end, it was Team Brunel that took second place on the podium, taking advantage of a more consistent wind.
