Videos - Two sailboat passages, one successful... the other less so

Discover in these two videos how two sailboats cross a bridge. The first one performs a bad manoeuvre while the second one performs a magnificent lying on his side to get through.

Video 1: Wrong operation or carelessness error

A sailboat, all sails folded, leaves a navy and is about to pass under a bridge As it approaches, we notice that its mast is larger than the height under the bridge and especially that the bridge folds back, lowering the level dangerously. Carried away in the manoeuvre or not having seen the deck lowered, the sailboat rushed into the water and its mast got stuck. After a few seconds of resistance, it breaks. A second sailboat, in the wake of the first, managed to turn around to escape the breakage.

Video 2: A sailboat lies on its side to successfully pass a bridge

A beautiful sailboat with long masts can bend to the side to pass a large bridge and once its manoeuvring is finished, it straightens up.
