Hanse 315, a modern mini large cruiser

Hanse hits hard with the launch of this autonomous model of the smallest model in its range: the Hanse 315. With a canon call price and displaying all the criteria of modern cruiser fashion, this is a sailboat that could seduce.

Discovered at cannes Boat Show 2015 , the Hanse 315 is now the smallest boat in the German manufacturer's range. But despite its size (9.62 m), this sailboat has all the trendy features found on the new cruisers.

First of all, with its straight bow and a very far back master beam offering a very wide stern (3.35 m) open to the sea, this sailboat takes up the concept developed on the largest sailboats.

A design that allows the installation of 2 wheel steering systems (optional) that provide access to the rear deck. This one is tiltable to access the water at anchor and serves as a closure to secure the cockpit at sea.

Underwater, the architectural firm Judel Vrolijk opted for a deep L-shaped keel (1.85 m draught) to ensure stiffness to the canvas. With 1.5 t of ballast for an empty displacement of 4.7 t, the Hanse 315 has about 30% of ballast. A short draught of 1.37 m is available as an option. All that is missing is bilges for this overview of the new trends in cruising yachts to be complete.

Before entering the interior, we notice on the bridge, the rail of the self-steering jib, a trademark of this manufacturer. With a small jib area (17.50 m2), this system is very pleasant to sail upwind without having to touch the sheets. However, we do know that it is less efficient as soon as you leave upwind to descend into the wind, which is why the yard has planned a mainsail (29.50 m2) to compensate for this deficit. The adoption of an asymmetrical spinnaker - designed to be rigged on the dolphin boat - is also recommended. This delphinière is also used to remove the anchoring of the bow during anchor manoeuvres. An anchor locker with the location provided for the windlass is provided in the deck. Despite a headroom of 1.91 m in the saloon and 1.77 m in the forward cabin, the deckhouse is not too bulky for the sailboat's external silhouette.

On either side of the cockpit, the descent is framed by 2 large glass surfaces that bring light into the aft cabin and the toilet. Here again, a brand of modernity. The development plan does not have many options. The Hanse 315 is a cruiser with 2 double cabins - one at each end of the boat. The rear cabin, the most spacious, has its bed installed across the step, under the cockpit. This arrangement leaves room on the port side for a trunk accessible from the cockpit and a toilet.

The saloon, traditionally arranged with a bench on each side, will only be usable as a sleeping area on the port side. To starboard, the L-shaped galley reduces the length of the berth. The cabin in the front tip can optionally accommodate a small desk to reduce the need for sleeping. There is no doubt that the version with a double front cabin will be more popular with owners.

With a call price of ?79,080 including VAT, this cruiser is offered at a very aggressive price. But beware, this price is a starting price to which it is advisable to bring many options to obtain it in its delivered as we discover it on the photos..
