Océanis 41.1, the Bénéteau innovation for the Paris Motor Show

Four years after the launch of the Océanis 41, Bénéteau is launching a makeover of this model, which will be presented at the Paris Boat Show in December 2015 under the name Océanis 41.1.

The hull remains the same. A design by Finot Conq with very marked chines to offer good shape stability, but also to contribute to the increase in interior volumes. The bilge is just at the height of the berths, which increases the sleeping widths, both in the front and rear cabins.

On this new model, it is the deck layout that has been revised to "modernize" it. Entrusted to Nauta Design, the deckhouse has a tighter line with more pronounced angles. The arch is also more inclined to improve the line seen from the side.

It should be recalled that the adoption of this arch and the installation of the mainsail sheet above it have totally modified the architecture of the Oceanis. Until then, the position of the mainsail rail just in front of the descent limited the recoil of the mast and the advance of the descent.

By installing the clew point on the arch, the architects were able to move the mast back to provide a modern sail plan with a large genoa and a narrow mainsail. In addition, the absence of a rail in front of the descent made it possible to enlarge it. Thus the steps are wide with very little inclination.

As far as fittings are concerned, this sailboat will be offered in 2 or 3 cabins with 1 or 2 toilet compartments. The owners now have a choice of 2 woodwork colours: a refined and contemporary atmosphere of light or deep oak and cozy mahogany. The particularity lies in the front cabin, which has its partition backwards, which makes it possible to install the headboard forward, a rather rare installation on this sailboat size.
