Car manufacturer Bugatti unveils its first superyacht

Bugatti, the famous builder of the world's fastest production sports car, and Palmer Johnson, the builder of the world's largest carbon yacht, are developing a luxury yacht with the characteristic lines of old cars.

Palmer Johnson will build a new sporty range of elegant and luxurious carbon yachts for Bugatti. The design team of the French luxury sports car brand developed the design. This new super-sporty model is called Niniette. This luxury yacht, available in three sizes, can be ordered now. The basic price of the smallest model is around 2 million euros.

The Bugatti brand design team has remained true to its motto "Form is followed by performance." Niniette, has an all-carbon hull, and features the stylistic elements of classic Bugatti icons as well as the revolutionary shape of the fairing on Palmer Johnson's Super Sport yachts.

The design is marked by the drooping shoulder line, characteristic of the Bugatti Type 57 C Atalante, and by the balanced proportions of the Type 41 Royale. Its design and flowing lines make it a sporty and elegant yacht.

The characteristics of the Bugatti cars can be found in the accentuation of the centre line and the traditional two-tone colour scheme. The contrasting combination of materials on the sides of the car - ultra-strong and super-light titanium and dark blue carbon fibres - is also evident in the sides.

On the bridge, there are several varieties of woods such as bubinga, maple and swamp oak that are used as opposed to light construction materials. The shape of the fairing of the Niniette yacht is inspired by Palmer Johnson's Super Sport series - a monohull with two external floats providing better stability, both at high speed and at anchor. According to the manufacturer's data, the top speed of this carbon yacht is 38 knots (approx. 70 km/h).

The main yacht in this new series is the PJ63 Niniette, 63 feet (20 m) long and 6.2 m wide. She has a 63 m2 living space on the upper deck and a 43 m2 saloon on the lower deck, luxurious cabins for up to four guests and a crew cabin. Upon request, Bugatti will also take care of the interior design according to the individual wishes of the customer. The basic price of the PJ63 Niniette model is 3.25 million euros.

Two other models complete the series: the PJ42 Niniette and the PJ88 Niniette, with a length of 42 feet (approx. 13 meters) and 88 feet (approx. 27 meters) respectively. The production time for each of the three versions is approximately 12 months.
