Océanis Yacht 62, luxury at an affordable price

The announcement of a new range is always an important moment. Bénéteau launches the Océanis Yacht range with a first 62-foot model to be released in spring 2016.

Bénéteau took the opportunity of the Paris Boat Show to announce a new range of sailing yachts: the Océanis Yacht. The aim is to produce sailing yachts from 53 to 70 feet (16 to 21 m) which will make the link between the Oceanis range, well positioned in terms of price, but with little customisation and totally custom boats such as the CNB (brand of the Bénéteau group). The stated objective is also to come to the Jeanneau Yacht playground (another brand of the group!), but at a much lower price. Thus the first model Oceanis Yacht 62 will be proposed at ?300,000 less than the Jeanneau Yacht 64 ?

The Océanis Yachts will have different finishes, but with a much more attractive price than the custom models. Indeed, Bénéteau absolutely wants to position itself in terms of price to offer very well finished sailing yachts at a price never offered before on this type of large units.

To do this, the brand will use its industrial know-how and its quality of finish, which is now recognized in the world of motor boats. Thus we will find solutions and finishes approved on Monte-Carlo Yachts. The first model 62 will be the result of a collaboration between Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design and the Italian designer Pierangelo Andreani.

The first drawings of the Océanis Yacht 62 show a very "motorboat" profile with a black headband incorporating large windows. Similarly, the transom has two stairs to reach the deck (as on the launches). Below, a garage with an annex completely conceals this device during navigation.

This boat will be launched in April 2016. To be continued..
