The Azimut 66, the emblem of Azimut Yacht's Flybridge range

Azimut Yachts has unveiled the world premiere of its newest yacht - the Azimut 66 - at the opening of the Boot in Düsseldorf. One of the largest international boat shows is currently taking place in Germany, from January 23 to 31, 2016. A bright family yacht with luxurious finishes for sailing in the utmost comfort.

The Azimut 66 is part of the Flybridge range, the classic collection of the Italian brand, which has been renewed from a stylistic point of view, but also technically. The Flybridge range includes 11 models, from the 42 (12.84 m) to the 100 Leonardo (30.75 m).

The process of renewing the range began with the Azimut 80 in 2013, continuing with the 50 in 2014 and with the recent Azimut 72, unveiled in September 2015. The entire team has therefore been working on the realization of a new 20m yacht combining all the innovations of the new models in the range, a process that has made it possible to impose the Azimut 66 as the reference that best represents the entire range.

The Azimut 66 is 20.80 m long and has sporty and modern lines. It was designed by Stefano Righini. On the main deck, the side windows, framing the cabin, are shaped like a shark's fin. The large flybridge houses a steering position and a sunbathing area, protected by a fixed hardtop with retractable canopy. The aft space is occupied by a dining area and a large lounge area with several sofas.

On the main deck, a large sundeck with a U-shaped bench seat occupies the bow, protected by a high rail. The cockpit is protected from the sun by the flybridge deck. There is a dining area with a U-shaped bench and table.

The carbon fiber superstructure has made the yacht much lighter and increased the interior volume. The designer Carlo Galeazzi worked on the Azimut 66's interiors with the shipyard's design studio. Thus, we find the same refined layout as on the other models, but the specifications were to optimize the use of space. Thus, the boat has an additional storage space, in addition to the already large interior volume.

From the cockpit, one enters through sliding glass doors into a spacious and bright salon with a good view of the outside. The rest of the cabin is raised by one step and houses the dining area with a table for 6 and a U-shaped bench seat. Opposite, there is a bar and the fully equipped kitchen area. In front of the dining area, the interior cockpit for 2 people completes the main deck space.

The sleeping area, located on the lower deck, is composed of 4 cabins, including a large owner's suite located in the center of the boat with a large private bathroom, storage space and a lounge area. A guest cabin located at the front of the boat, a twin cabin and a cabin with bunk beds as well as two bathrooms complete the sleeping area. All rooms have windows or portholes, making them bright.
