Anchor, all the vocabulary to talk about anchoring

Anchoring and anchoring have their associated vocabulary. You should know that in the navy you don't drop the anchor, but you drop the anchor

If the anchor is used to immobilize the boat at anchor, here are 10 words of vocabulary to understand the key points of the anchoring equipment:

  • Spout pointed end of an anchor. Part which comes to be pricked in the bottom.
  • Cable rope: rope used for the anchor line. It makes it possible to lengthen the anchor without making it too heavy. Made of slightly elastic rope, it helps to absorb jolts.
