A 14 m Princess yacht was thrown into the sea from the deck of a cargo ship and crashed into the rocks of the Norwegian coast.

It happens regularly that cargo ships lose part of their delivery, but this time it is a 46-foot yacht, which has fallen overboard. The 90 m cargo ship Kristian With was carrying its cargo of ships from Molde on the west coast of Norway to Oslofjord in the south-east.

The cargo ship was then swept by a huge wave, throwing the Princess overboard. The bad weather conditions generated big waves, strong winds and a big swell

"This is the first time something like this has happened" said Egil Ulvan, owner and CEO of Egil Ulvan Rederi AS, the company that owns the cargo ship, which has been transporting yachts since 1967.

The cargo company's insurance company sent a tug to recover the yacht, but the sea was too rough, making rescue impossible. After drifting for 7 hours, the unmanned vessel ran aground south of Egersund. It sank after being thrown against the rocks by the waves.

This is the second Princess yacht to have been destroyed in an accident in recent weeks. The 95 foot Princess Queen Anna caught fire in Turkey on January 21.
