Future Concept CF8 - CF stands for Cars and Family - is an 80-meter-long superyacht born from the idea of traveling faster anywhere. The designers were inspired by several projects to move quickly on land or in space: Richard Branson's Unity ship linking New York to Tokyo in less than an hour, the CEO of Tesla Motors who in 2011 hoped to be able to send people to the surface of Mars, within 20 to 30 years, the hypersonic jet of Airbus patented in 2015 capable of going 3.5 times faster than the Concordeâeuros¦
"In the near future, we will be able to envision rich people being able to travel to any place in a few hours. It will be easy for them to go on their yacht for a few days, surrounded by their friends and family, no matter where the boat is." explains Jeroen van der Knaap and Niels Ruiter, Design Director and Yacht Designer respectively.
To create their superyacht, they imagined a progressive, sporty owner who was attracted to new concepts and innovations and needed to carry his sports car collection with him. Thus, the CF8 has a strong exterior shape with lines reminiscent of sports cars. The low line running from the upper aft part of the hull to the front gives the yacht a dynamic and aerodynamic look.
The central curved volume found its inspiration in the Louwman Exclusive Cars showroom in the Netherlands, which has a 5 km long glass exterior wall. When closed, this central volume with glass walls brings the necessary light into the living spaces. It can also accommodate a collection of 8 cars, admired by all through the transparent walls. This area of 100 m2 can accommodate the cars from a boarding platform. "The owner will be able to choose from his collection of cars the one he wants for this or that occasion."
Luxurious furnishings
The owner has a private space of 170m2 and a private deck of 250m2 with additional rooms for a butler and a nanny. The VIP level can accommodate 12 guests in 8 rooms of 28m2 each with bathroom and dressing room. The CF8 also offers a wide range of entertainment: an 88m2 swimming pool with a waterfall, a cinema room, a gym, a stage, numerous terraces, a helipad and a large garage for tenders.
This storage space of more than 200 m2 can store two 10 m long tenders, jet-skis, a submarine, but also Seabobs, flyboards or paddleboardsâeuros¦
We will have to wait for hypersonic travel and space travel for this concept to see the light of day. It is not for immediately!
