Switch from bitumen to sea with the Limousine Tender 33

The American company Nouvoyage (based in Boston) has invented an amphibious vehicle concept. The Nouvoyage Limousine Tender 33 is a car that turns into a tender. What do you think of it?

In the luxury yachting industry, ideas never stop coming. Designers are delighted to create concepts of yachts, tenders or even accessories, each more extravagant than the last. Nouvoyage is an American company that has developed a very special tender concept. Indeed, the latter is first of all a car that turns into a tender.

This limousine with a particular design âeuros quite normal since it is built from a composite hull âeuros has a length of 10 m. It is also proposed in 3 other sizes: 8 m, 9 m and 11 m.

For its tender version, the tender 33 is equipped with a Yanmar 530 HP marine diesel engine and two Hamilton HJ 241 waterjets. This marine jet propulsion system uses water pumped under the boat before expelling it at high speed. It can be found on fast ferries, pilot boats and jet skis. With this propulsion system, the tender is capable of reaching speeds of 28 knots.

For the limousine version, the car is equipped with four Remy Electric Motor 130 HP and can reach the speed of 136 km/h.

The Limousine Tender 33 can accommodate 12 passengers and 2 crew members and is wheelchair accessible. The interior is fitted out like a classic tender with benches on each side and side access. Toilets and a small kitchen are available as an option.

To date, no Limousine Tender 33 has seen the light of day, but it would cost 3,730,020 euros to afford an amphibious vehicle. However, does the current technology allow the development of a car/boat? However, Nouvoyage claims that its boat was developed using the latest technology from the military...
