Bavaria C57, a future flagship unveiled live

The Bavaria C57 was launched with great pomp and circumstance ("Something big is coming"). The German shipyard took the opportunity of the Cannes 2016 show to announce a break in its range.

The German shipyard has announced a future larger model for its Cruiser range: the C57 . A range that until now has ranged from 31 to 51 feet.

Contrary to the rest of the range designed by Far, this time it is the Italian Cossutti (Cossutti Yacht Design) that the shipyard has called upon.

The new C57 does not hide its Latin origins with a modern deck layout with a deckhouse surrounded by vertical portholes (even on the bow). No more traditional whistle deckhouse. This design offers a forward view, but also allows the installation of a sunbathing area in front of the mast.

Although this boat brings a lot of innovation compared to the existing range, it should be noted that the yard has not shown a great potential for innovation compared to the competition's production.

Thus this new C57, apart from the shape of the deckhouse, seems to be inspired by the rest of the competition. Thus the large tilting bathing platform that conceals an annex garage and a companionway (stairway) for easy access is found on the Hanse 588. There is also the plancha between the 2 helm stations (just like on the Dufour).

The cockpit is equipped with 2 side tables (and a central circulation). These 2 tables can be lowered to become a sunbathing area (as on the Hanse 588).

On deck, there are 2 sunbathing areas under the boom and in front of the mast (as on the Sense 57)..

These reflections are gathered from the first 3D drawings and the press conference that took place during the Cannes Film Festival (September 2016). You will have to discover the boat in real life to realise how much progress this new model brings. See you in Düsseldorf in January 2017 for a chance to see this new model.
