New Fountaine Pajot MY44

Continued growth and investment in the 2016/17 program at Fountaine - Pajot. A motor-yacht range in full development. The Charentais shipyard is in its forties.

Sales still on the rise

In a multihull market that is doing well, the Fountaine - Pajot shipyard, a pioneer in the sector, is in good health at 40 years old. The turnover increased by 100% in 5 years and by 10% compared to the last financial year during which it was 61.6 million euros. The Charentais shipyard is now the 2nd largest in France, employing over 400 people at its two sites in La Rochelle and Aigrefeuille d'Aunis.

Investments in progress

In order to meet its growing order book, the yard is expanding the Aigrefeuille d'Aunis site by 8,000 m², or 50% of its initial size. The new facilities are expected to be operational in December 2016

The site's production teams are also working to improve the manufacturing process.

Fountaine Pajot estimates total investments for 2016 at 6 million euros.

Focus on power catamarans

The policy of model renewal continues with the presentation at the press conference in Cannes of two new models, the new 47-foot sailboat and the future MY 44 motorboat.

The analysis of the sector and the growth of the sailing catamaran market in recent years have led the yard to bet on a similar scenario in motor multihulls. The MY 44 planned for the end of 2017 will mark the beginning of investments in the range of motor catamarans, where 4 to 5 new models are planned within 4 years.
