Rand Boat is a Danish company that manufactures motor boats that are environmentally friendly, sustainably designed and use renewable energy. Designed by Danish architect and designer Carl Kai Rand, the Picnic Sport must be simple to use and serve for recreational use and social interaction, hence the electric motor to avoid noise.
Respectful construction and use
To emphasize respect for the environment, the Rand Boat construction uses renewable materials. For example, the Rand Boat structure is built from recycled plastic bottles, the bridge and table are made from wood from sustainable forests. The boat also leaves no environmental impact since it runs on an electric motor.
Thanks to its electric motor and the use of solar energy, navigation becomes silent and ecological. There is no gas or smoke and almost no operating costs compared to gasoline boats.
A boat that promotes social interaction
The Picnic Sport is a new type of boat (a picnic boat) that should allow you to gather for a walk on the water, at sea or on a lake. However, in an environmentally friendly and socially interactive approach, a noisy engine would prevent people from talking to each other on board, in addition to polluting nature.
At the front of the Picnic Sport is a large table that can be adjusted in height (to transform the space into a sunbathing area) and can accommodate 10 people.
An easy to use boat
The Picnic Sport was created to offer an easy navigation experience. With low maintenance, it is easily controlled from the centre console (remote console bar) or the tiller of the electric motor. Picnic Sport does not require a great deal of experience in sailing.
Its lightweight shell makes it easy to transport on a trailer. Its storage boxes with a storage capacity of 700 L can be used to store cushions, life jackets, bath towels and picnic baskets. Finally, the bathing platform at the back allows easy access to the water. The seats, table and centre console have been designed to provide maximum mobility and ease of movement on board.
An elegant boat
Ergonomic, user-friendly, the Picnic Sport is a pretty pleasure boat with a rounded and wide hull to provide greater stability and increase comfort on board. The elegant and minimalist design and seeks to recall the Scandinavian DNA of the design. The steel steering wheel on the aluminium console and the Kebony wooden interior seek to bring a "luxury" dimension to a boat that is for everyone.
Develop a range of electric boats
After Picnic and Picnic Sport, Rand Boat hopes to present a tender yacht version of their Picnic, a 25-foot runabout and a carbon yacht with 100-foot solar panels.
