Exclusive / Roughneck, high-performance and modular semi-rigid vehicles

Roughneck is a Dutch RIB brand imported in France by Js Marine. Composed of 4 models, the range offers RIBs from 5.55 m to 10.10 m, which can be fitted out on request to meet a wide range of sailing programs. A 6.36 m model fitted out for fishing will be presented in preview at the Grand Pavois.

4 models that can be fitted on request

Roughneck is a brand of semi-rigid with a step hull whose particularity is to have a deck built in foam sandwich (the boat is much lighter compared to its size) and not in monolithic. The boat is sold bareboat, and fitted out according to the needs of the customers:

  • Pleasure boaters with a family for leisure use
  • Fisherman who wishes to have livewells, rod holders, depth finder...
  • Diving club with tank racks
  • Authorities (firemen, gendarmerie, natural reserveâ?¦)
  • Superyacht owner to have a tender with sunbeds

The range consists of 4 units of different sizes:

  • 5,55 m
  • 6,36 m
  • 8,08 m
  • 10,10 m

They are all outboard powered, except for the largest unit, which can be offered in an inboard version.

The 6.36 m model is available in a Sport or Leisure version (seat installed in the rear, unlike the Sport version). Finally, the two larger models are equipped with a rear bench seat as standard.

The RIBs are hand built in the Netherlands with a lead time of about 6 to 10 weeks. The boards are made of hypalon 1670 dtex and available in 14 colors that can be mixed to have two-tone boards. 14 colors of gel coat are also available.

The motorization ranges from 70 HP (for the 5.55 m) to 800 HP (for the 10.10 m). The boats are sold bareboat from 19,944 euros for the 5.55 m and up to 102,859 euros for the largest model.

The opinion of Loris Bernagaud, boat importer

"The boats are fast, with a sporty step hull that allows them to go fast while reducing fuel consumption - about 15% less than a hull of the same length - and have a nice quality finish. They lift off very quickly, have good handling and sea passage, don't get wet at all and always fall flat.

With the smallest model, the 5.55 m, a speed record was set with a top speed of 39 knots with 70 HP, 2 people on board and a full tank of gas. For the 10 m model with 2x300 HP, the top speed is 70 knots.

These RIBs are not just for speed but can be adapted to any sailing program and are accessible to any boater, without being a pilot."
