Sunseeker Manhattan 52, a "small" flyboat full of tips

Sunseeker Manhattan 52

The Sunseeker Manhattan 52 had its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016. This new 56'5" (17.21 m) model is the smallest flybridge model from the luxury motor yacht manufacturer. Discover this "small" innovative yacht.

It's been 10 years since Sunseeker introduced such a small model to fly. The Manhattan 52 is a star where comfort spaces are numerous, where light on board is the central element as well as space. Over almost the entire length of the hull - which has been redesigned to free up interior space - the large curved glazing emphasises the sleek lines of the boat and provides a clear view of the outside, while bringing maximum light into the cabins. This new design also defines the new design lines for the next models in the Manhattan range.

This new model is modern, neat and innovative with plenty of space to meet and have fun. Thus, owners and guests can move around on board easily, from the large saloon and the galley installed at the stern, to the helm station. Or they can enjoy the flybridge or the large bathing platform. The main deck is ultra bright thanks to panoramic glazing all around the superstructure.

The latter is submersible (optional) and offers an additional area for entertainment and socialising and can become a beach club, an innovative layout on a boat of this size. In this area there is a barbecue, a shower and a folding bench seat that folds down the transom.

What sets the Manhattan 52 apart from its big brothers is its large glass cockpit door/kitchen window that folds down to open up the space completely and create a large uninterrupted interior/exterior space. Another innovation of this small model is its cockpit, where the two armchairs can be folded up against the dashboard to create an additional bench seat in the saloon.

With the galley located on the main deck, aft of the saloon, facing the cockpit, the lower deck can accommodate three large cabins and two en-suite bathrooms. The owner's cabin is really large, installed across the entire width of the boat, with a nice headroom, another notable feature on a boat of this size. The interior decoration is contemporary, uncluttered, top-of-the-range and reinforces the impression of comfort that emanates from the layout.

The flybridge has a large sunbathing area just behind the windshield and a cockpit for 2 people. Then there is a first saloon facing the cockpit and a large saloon at the back of the flybridge with bar. The foredeck also houses a large comfort area with sunbathing facilities.

Powered by Volvo Penta D11-725 shaft drive or Volvo Penta IPS-950 engines, the Manhattan 52 can comfortably cruise at 24 knots with a cruising range of 250 nautical miles or reach 33 knots at full throttle.
