The Rebel 47 from Sacs, semi-rigid, but ultra-capable!

Sacs presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival, its new semi-rigid liveaboard, the Rebel 47. A small revolution for the Italian shipyard, which will be (re)discovered at the Paris Boat Show, to be held at Porte de Versailles from December 3 to 11, 2016.

The Rebel 47 is the first model of the range of the same name, designed by the designer Christian Grande, to whom we already owe the Strider range, known for its innovations, its look, its quality of materials and its space planning. This 14.10 m semi-rigid has numerous technological innovations (in particular the design of its struts) and offers a very large living space while maintaining the performance and safety that semi-rigid technology provides. The model exhibited in Cannes was the Limousine version.

The Rebel 47 has uninflated D-shaped rods. They are made from a state-of-the-art molded foam core combined with a high-tech anti-crash plastic, all covered with Hypalon neoprene for added durability. In addition to giving the boat a curved shape, the socks ensure dry sailing and maximum stability, whether sailing or at anchor.

Extremely versatile, the Rebel 47 is available in two different configurations :

  • Open
  • Limousine

In the first version, the layout is more classic, presented online. The windshield protects the cockpit, which can accommodate 3 people. Behind, there is a bar (facing the cockpit) which serves as a kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, hob or ice machine (all options). Finally, a lounge area with two benches and a cockpit table is installed between the bar and the sundeck, located upstream of the bathing platform (hydraulics optional).

In the Limousine version, more Mediterranean style, the large U-shaped windscreen frames almost the entire cockpit and creates two large side decks, protected by handrails. In this layout, the cockpit accommodates only one bench seat for two people, installed on the starboard side. The rest of the cockpit is arranged with an L-shaped saloon and bar (as in the first version installed on the port side with seating facing the saloon.

Large catwalks, secured by handrails installed along the entire length of the socks, provide access to the foredeck. This one welcomes a huge sunbathing area, coupled with two deckchairs installed on the front.

The cockpit provides access to the cabin on the starboard side. The headroom there is quite exceptional for a RIB of this size. The spacious owner's cabin is located in the forepeak. A bathroom with separate w.c. and shower, a small lounge area and a second cabin at the stern for 2 persons complete the interior layout.
