Sarco, the superyacht inspired by a prehistoric crocodile

After Cauta, a sailing yacht inspired by the albatross or Black Swan, whose design is reminiscent of an arrow, Turkish designer Timur Bozca presents a new superyacht concept. Sarco is an ultra-modern and luxurious 19-metre yacht inspired by a Cretaceous crocodile. You be the judge!

The designer Timur Bozca, who created several superyacht concepts, has just revealed a new motorboat design, the Sarco, inspired by both the automobile and a much more surprising element from the animal world! To design his motor yacht, the Turkish designer was inspired by the head of the Sarcosuchus, a giant crocodile that measured between 11 and 15 m long and weighed 10 tons and lived in the age of the dinosaurs. It was one of the largest crocodiles in the world, if not the largest of all crocodilians on earth.

Sarco is a 19 m carbon fibre yacht, presented by its designer as a more innovative, luxurious and high-performance yacht. "In appearance, he looks like the Fastback Mustang." explains Timur Bozca. Externally and from the front, it reminds us of the Arrow 460 Gran-Turismo The Mercedes car, developed in collaboration with Silver Arrows Marine, has recently been in the water.

Equipped with two MTU V10 2000 M94 engines, it will be able to reach a speed of 53 knots. These will be visible through windows installed on each side at the rear of the boat, reminiscent of a car. The entrance to the cockpit will be through central steps, while two sunbeds will be installed on each side. On the main deck, which has a symmetrical design, there are two large benches on each side of the cockpit. The cockpit is installed in the centre of the boat, with a sports pilot seat, and is protected by a very large profiled windscreen that covers part of the cockpit. The design is minimalist.

Below deck, there is a master cabin with a separate bathroom. The use of OLEDs for lighting and display gives the boat a futuristic look.

To design the Sarco, the designer used shapes that are usually found in luxury products," he explains. " The design is imposing, but not intimidating or aggressive. The design of the pointed front and curved rear has been carefully delineated." he adds.

Thus, the yacht is modern, even futuristic, with an extremely luxurious design, a mixture of rounded shapes and straight edges. It retains a minimalist layout and design, which was already found on the Cauta, a sailing boat concept inspired by the Albatross .
