Prestige 460, Jeanneau erases the small defects of the 450

The Prestige 460, new for 2017

Prestige Yachts will present its new Prestige 460, a 46-foot flying boat, at the Miami Boat Show, which opens on February 16, 2016. Built on the same hull as its little sister, the Prestige 450, it is however different in terms of layout. A model to be discovered in France during the next Cannes Yachting Festival. The coupé version will also be available in summer 2017.

The Prestige 460 is Prestige Yachts' new 46-foot (14 m) Flybridge speedboat and will be unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show, starting February 16, 2017. Built on the same hull as the Prestige 450 (13.96 m), which will be launched in 2013, she differs greatly from her little sister in her layout. It completes the Flybridge range, which currently comprises 4 models ranging from 41.5 to 59.9 feet.

The deck and fittings have been redesigned to make the boat spacious and bright. Designed by Garroni Design and built by JP Concepts, the Prestige 460 benefits from the latest advances from the shipyard in terms of ergonomics and design. She also takes up the style of the latest Prestige Yachts 630 and 680, notably with enlarged and lowered windows. The Prestige 460 will be equipped with a VOLVO IPS 500 or IPS 600 propulsion system.

Wheelhouse

The L-shaped cockpit has been enlarged and is in the style of the last two models of the yacht division. The bathing platform at the stern has been lengthened, as on the latest models, and allows access to a skipper's cabin (optional), which did not exist before on a model of this size. At the bow, the deck is more modern, with a large sundeck, whose folding backrest transforms the space into a sun lounger.

On the main deck there is a fully equipped central galley with a very large saloon on the same level opposite with a sofa. The starboard cockpit has been redesigned with a new dashboard design.

Kitchen

Below deck, there are 2 double cabins, as on the 450. However, the layout is a little different. On the Prestige 450, the two cabins had independent entrances, whereas here, access is from the bow (next to the cockpit). The guest cabin is at the front with a double bed that can be separated into two single beds.

The owner's cabin is installed in the centre of the boat in a transversal way, with very large hull windows that make the space very bright. The view is unobstructed and the impression of space is real. The saloon used to sit above the cabin and encroach a little on the height. However, in the Prestige 460, the saloon has been slightly raised by two steps. Each cabin has its own bathroom.
