Safety equipment is personal. It is up to each crew member to embark with his equipment. Here is the essential safety equipment that we advise you to always have with you for a navigation.

The inflatable vest with integrated harness Once uncomfortable and cumbersome, the life jackets now inflatable are easy to pass through and do not interfere with movement. Harness lanyard This is a strap that connects the sailor to the lifeline, to be carried as soon as you wear an inflatable vest with its integrated harness. Extendable models are very practical.

The flash-light This small flashlight fits in the pocket of the watch jacket. We advise you to leave it there at all times. It will be useful during the day as well as at night and remains an essential element to locate a sailor who has fallen in the water.

The cyalume or waterproof flashlight The regulation leaves free choice between a waterproof lamp and a cyalume. The latter, once activated, gives off a green luminescence allowing to see a man fallen in the sea. Lightweight, it offers a 12 hours autonomy. It is attached to the life jacket with a garcette. Finally, its price is more affordable than a waterproof torch.

The headlamp Installed on your head, the headlamp allows you to illuminate the place you are looking at, while having your hands free. Smart and practical!

A safety knife : The safety knife usually equips life rafts and can be used without the risk of perforating your inflatable vest. It is now available to fit life jackets for all eventualities. In addition, its hook-shaped blade protects against involuntary cuts.
