The World Superyacht Awards are presented every year to the"best" yachts of the past year. In 2017, it is the motoryacht Dilbar, a 156 m long yacht and considered as the largest yacht in the world in terms of gross tonnage.

The World Superyachts Awards ceremony rewards each year the"best" motor and sailing superyachts. In 2017, the evening was held on 13 May at Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. In the motoryacht category, there were 9 candidates for the title. The debate between the judges was once again difficult, but all agreed to elect the yacht that would represent the"best of the best". And in this game, Dilbar, a 156 m long superyacht, and the largest motor yacht in the world in terms of gross tonnage (volume), with its 15,917 gross tons, was the best.

It is without doubt one of the most complex and ambitious yachts ever built, both in terms of dimensions and technology. All the judges who visited the boat agreed on the quality of the design and construction, which they found superb. It was built at the German yard Lurssen in 2016 according to the plans of the naval architecture firm Espen Oeino. It is the property of the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov, who gave it his mother's name. This is the 4 e the world's largest yacht, behind the Azzam (180 m), the Eclipse (164 m) and the Al Saïd (162 m) and would have cost $600 million.

Inside, the construction and layout are of quality with the use of rare materials and finishes worked in abundance, which gives it a spectacular look. Also worth noting is its incredible indoor pool with a capacity of 180 m3, the largest ever installed on a yacht. Its 30,000 kW diesel electric propulsion (a record for a superyacht) also gives it a cruising speed of 22 knots. Another remarkable feature, the superyacht host an Airbus H175 helicopter, worth $ 17 million. The Dilbar can accommodate 40 guests in 20 cabins and 80 crew members.
