Lagoon launched in Bordeaux the first copy of its flagship, the motor catamaran Seventy 8. An important step for a site that targets large sizes.

The CNB - Lagoon de Bordeaux yard launched its first Lagoon Seventy 8. This motor catamaran, head of series, is the largest ever built by the Bénéteau Group brand. 23.80 metres long, the multihull joined the waters of the Garonne on 19 May 2017 for testing and finishing. The boat's speed performance is above expectations depending on the yard, with the boat easily exceeding 20 knots. Its objective is not pure speed, however, as Lagoon presents it as a"fast long range cruiser". As Alexandre Dauberville, the brand's marketing director, explains,"The aim is to be able to sail a month at 10 knots without refuelling

540catamaran, it's because we noticed that it was a very buoyant market, with a present demand for the 60 to 90 foot niche, and almost no competition. Nevertheless, it remains a niche with very small volumes." If the first buyers on plan are there, the Cannes show will allow to judge the reception.
