The summer book? Mamilou and Grandpa in shorts around the world

After a world tour of nearly 10 years on a catamaran, the adventures of the crew of Catafjord are published. A tale in 3 volumes that eats itself like a good ti-punch when the sun comes down. A travel account that does not leave you indifferent

3 volumes arriving on my desk, posted from the West Indies. The same childlike drawing on the cover illustrates"Mamilou and Grandpa in shorts around the world". Three volumes that look like two drops of water on the outside. I have to admit that this appetizer doesn't motivate me too much to immerse myself in it.

But curiosity pushes me to know who is its author Domi Montesinos and what adventures I will discover there. And a few hours later - Shh, be quiet I read! - i'm still glued to this reading. The reason: these books are the story of sailing around the world in a catamaran. With as editorial choice, the publication of short postcards describing a meeting, an event, an anecdote, a landscape... And each time, we feel the pleasure of the author to share these moments and his fun to play with the (puns) words.

Domi Montesinos' pen is really light. There's no way we're gonna get our heads in academic writing. A bit like sailing, ideas bounce from one to the other joyfully. It sparkles, it foams (no link with the champagne or other alcohol heavily consumed by the crew during the voyage). That's gay. A treat for the reader.

These three books tell the story of this trip made between 2007 and 2016 on Catafjord. Beginning with three generations on board, he takes us to the sandstone of stopovers and encounters. A pleasant reading that will be devoured this summer at anchor!
