Catana Group, growth boosted by Bali catamarans

The Bali Catamarans brand, the engine of the Catana group

The Catana group presented its annual figures for 2016/2017, marked by strong growth. A dynamic that should continue in 2017/2018 according to the catamaran specialist.

New boats: Objectives exceeded

The Catana group ends its 2016/2017 financial year with a turnover of almost 43 M €, i.e. a growth of 22% compared to the 34 M € of the previous financial year. The sale of new boats represents 70% of the activity of the Boat division, now exceeding 30 M in turnover, up 45%. According to the group, this evolution is mainly driven by the success of the Bali range of catamarans, launched in 2014.

The Catana brand relaunched

The new Catana 53 catamaran, presented at the 2017 Grande Motte International Multihull Show, has significantly increased the turnover of the group's historic yacht brand. It increases by 60% in 2017.

Day charter development

The sale of used boats, linked to takeovers, is down. The Port Pin Rolland subsidiary, which manages the services and production activity of day charter yachts, has noted strong demand from the latter.

New boats and growth in sight

Without indicating a target figure, the Catana group expects sustained growth for 2017/2018 in a context favourable to multihulls. It will rely on the launch of two new models of catamarans in the Bali range, the Bali 4.1 and the Bali 5.4, the brand's largest boat. Bali will thus have 5 sailboat models.

The return of the Catana brand to the 50-foot multihull yacht market with the Catana 53 should ensure its growth. A new model should follow within the next 2 years.
