This mini headlamp model available in April 2018 should be perfect for sailors. Indeed on a boat, we always need to have a light on hand. By always lighting in the direction of the eye, a headlamp is really well adapted to our use.
Only bulky models with batteries don't stay on our forehead for long. Their weight disturbs and we always end up putting the lamp away. So much so that during the last Volvo Ocean Race the round-the-world sailors opted for the Petzl e+Lite mini headlamp, a mini headlamp originally intended as an emergency light with a maximum illumination of 50 lumens, but used on a daily basis in this race.
35g and 200 lumens!
The new Bindi should meet this need. Waterproof IPX6, ultra-light with only 35 g, this lamp fits in the palm of your hand. Yet, despite its weight and size, it lights up strong: 200 lumens maximum!
50h battery life
No more batteries, this lamp has a battery and is recharged by a USB cable. In terms of autonomy, it offers 2 hours at full lighting, but has other less powerful modes (for reading for example) that increase the autonomy to 50 hours at the longest. The main light is white, but this lamp can also illuminate in fixed or flashing red in case of distress.
Waterproof and practical
Its thin and quickly adjustable drawstring also makes it easy to wear around the neck. And by turning the lamp on itself, the switch-on button remains inaccessible. It is a locking position to prevent accidental switching on.
For the Navy, this lamp is distributed by Navicom. Selling price : 50 euros
