How much does it cost?
In addition to the amount of his presence per day (between 130 and 200 ?/day depending on the navigation areas), it is up to the tenant to pay some expenses:
For food, you are required to provide supplies for the personnel you have chosen to take (skipper and/or hostess).
As in a cruise without a skipper, the cost of mooring, docking, but also the fuel and water remain the responsibility of the tenant.
And if you are completely satisfied with the service, a tip of 15 to 20% of the price of the skipper option is generally appreciated.
Where does the skipper sleep?
Your skipper must have his own cabin during his stay on board your boat. Ask your Sunsail rental company for more information, or check the features of your boat on the website to make sure there will be enough room for you and your crew, as well as for the staff you would like to have on board.
Privacy policy
The skippers know how to make themselves forgotten. They respect everyone's privacy. For this purpose, they have access only to their own cabins and to the common parts of the boat.
The responsibility of a skipper
For navigation, your skipper can take you almost anywhere within the limits of your cruise basin. Just tell him where you'd like to go and relax while he takes care of it.
Apart from the actual manoeuvre of your boat, your skipper will take care of everything concerning navigation, weather and the safety of the whole crew during the cruise.
For the use of the tender, when you need the tender of your boat to go ashore, your skipper can take charge of this operation to ensure safe (and dry!) passage to the shore.
On board, for safety reasons, the skipper is required to ensure that traffic on the deck is in good condition at all times. This implies that the ropes are properly coiled and do not present any danger to the crew. He also ensures that all unused equipment is stored. The skipper will also be responsible for refuelling and water and will be responsible for docking and anchoring operations.
