Anthena, a saucer placed on the water

Living on the sea, enjoying a breathtaking view, observing the seabed, taking time out in a luxurious universe, Anthénea offers its inhabitants a unique experience. Discovery of this unclassifiable project.

The origins of this incredible project: the dream of Jean-Michel Ducancelle, naval architect, inspired by James Bond's floating capsule in "L'Espion qui m'aimait". He thought of Anthenaea as an autonomous flying saucer capsule resting on the waves.

Anthénea

All-French project

Entirely made in Loire (Angers), Anthenea has received a European certification category C, (to withstand waves of 2 meters and a wind of force 6), up to 50 people. This polyester saucer contains volumes of foam that make it unsinkable.

Anthénea

Without a home port, Anthénea is a nomadic capsule that can be landed anywhere: embossing, lake, public or fairground anchorage, creek, lagoon, river, marsh, mountain... the possibilities are endless. Its small electric motor allows it to travel at up to 3 knots.

With a shallow draught, it can be connected or autonomous. Available for a home, offices, diving school, restaurant, hotel, nightclub, scientific laboratory... All that remains is to invent the use of this unusual habitat.

Anthénea

A modular habitat

Anthénea is designed in the form of modules that fit into 2 containers. On board you will find, depending on the configuration, a lounge with sofa and curved furniture, a bedroom with a round bed, a bathroom with a round bathtub, a panoramic kitchen and a 14 m2 solarium on the first floor. Inside, we keep a 360° view but also thanks to portholes an underwater vision.

Anthénea was designed to be able to live independently with solar panels and a small electric motor for travel (3 knots max). The octagonal shape is designed to combine several antenea and form a kind of lake village.

Marketing in progress

The first "navigated" Anthenaea saucer is used as a demonstrator. The project was presented at the Monaco Boat Show and the Nautic de Paris in December 2017. Now it remains to find the investors capable of "getting this project off the ground".
