A 5 m TV with hydraulic deployment for your superyacht

After the world's largest outdoor display, Austrian company C SEED is now marketing its home theater (TV and speakers) specially developed in collaboration with Porsche Design Studio, for superyachts, the Supermarine 201/144 inch TV.

Adapting an outdoor screen for big yachting

How to enjoy an open-air cinema session on the deck of your superyacht? The Austrian company C SEED Supermarine has developed a high-tech television in collaboration with the Porsche Design studio. Its special feature? This 201-inch screen, fully marinized and adapted for superyachts, folds into a 78-cm (31-inch) deep compartment in just 1 minute. It saves space on and below deck.

Shortly after winning the prestigious Red Dot design award for the world's largest outdoor LED TV, the Austrian company (based in Vienna), C SEED Supermarine was contacted by the yachting industry. It then worked at length to adapt its technology - developed in collaboration with Porsche Design Studio - to superyachts. The result was the Supermarine 201/144 inch (5 x 3.5 m) retractable TV and speakers specially developed for superyachts.

Quick and easy to install

What characterizes this television is undoubtedly its hydraulic deployment system. The panels that make up the screen unfold vertically and horizontally to open completely in 1 minute and reach the height of 3 m in 15 seconds. In the same way, this impressive 201-inch screen quickly retracts into a specific location under the deck that is only 78 cm (31 inches) deep.

Extremely bright LED panels begin to unfold after 45 seconds. Thanks to special properties, the display remains completely bright even in bright sunlight. Its high brightness of 4,500 nits and a contrast ratio of 4,500:1, combined with excellent pixels and 48-bit colour depth, produce an incredibly clear image for enjoying a perfectly sharp film, even in dazzling light conditions.

Loudspeakers in addition

In addition, the Supermarine speakers operate in the same mode as the Supermarine TV. They can be stored hydraulically in a locker below the boat deck. Aesthetically tuned to the TV, they should provide superb acoustics, even outdoors. Their passive speaker technology reproduces the entire frequency range in a clear and powerful way. Constructed in one-piece metal enclosures, and integrated in solid aluminium blocks, they are also coated with stainless steel on the most sensitive parts, ensuring a long life.
