It is above all the quality of the body of water that is unique in the world that has rained. Indeed, it is open, but without current, with its effects of site due to cliffs. The safety aspect of the water was also an essential element. Finally, our small town on a human scale with its pleasant seaside activities for accompanying families (surfing, kayaking...), cave visit ...) as well as the possibilities of accommodation (hotels, lodgings, camping...) was also selected. And to finish, the nautical culture which reigns on the commune and the implication of the volunteers liked much. "
The rise of nautical activities in the peninsula
Today the peninsula and mainly Crozon-Morgat develops a lot the nautical potential. The Crozon-Morgat Nautical Centre has been a great success in recent years 1 er rental point in France Its turnover increases every year by 30%.
This"push" for water sports has already been noticed, the Crozon-Morgat Nautical Centre will organize from 22 to 29 June 2019 the European Optimist Championship 250 participating boats which gather the 7 best of each country.
420 World Championships
After Athens (GRE) in 2017, Fremantle (AUS) in winter 2017, Newport (USA) in 2018, Crozon-Morgat in France will receive 200 crews from 3 to 11 July 2020. The 60 years of the class association of the 420 UNIQUA France associated with the fact that Crozon-Morgat had hosted 30 years ago (in 1990) this same championship, has finished deciding the leaders of the class.
Now we just have to roll up our sleeves, but a whole territory is behind this regatta with the commune of Crozon-Morgat, Finistère (with the Departmental Council), Brittany (the Regional Council), but also the federation (FFvoile).
