Funny idea that this fender invented by Plastimo: it's cut in two! This"half moon" fender has been designed to protect the flanges from semi-rigids. Not easy indeed to make hold a protection on these hulls all round.
Half moons sold by 3
To solve this problem, Plastimo (a French specialist in equipment) imagined a fender cut in two with straps to hold it along the hull. The fenders are sold by 3 with 2 straps of 1 m each. The"head" of each fender allows it to be installed horizontally or vertically. Thus it is possible to combine the assembly according to the use that one makes of it.
It's up to you to invent the use
Because this system can be used in several configurations. As a fender initially hung over the water, but also as protection while the semi-rigid is on its trailer. For example, the straps can be passed over so as not to mark the boots. These PVC half moons are very strong. They were tested by rolling a trailer over them! They are delivered already inflated and do not have a valve.
Available on ships
In terms of dimensions, each fender is 264 mm wide (HT) x 70 mm high x 45 mm thick (in its most rounded part). Half moons are available in white or blue at 35,00 €.
