A superstructure to sail all the time
The Fjord 44 Coupé is a 13.45 m long boat with a bathing platform included) which stands out from the rest of the range by its glass superstructure with T-Top, named"arc-saloon" by the German yard. Fjord's objective is to be able to multiply the uses of the boat with this space which can be closed entirely thanks to two sliding glass doors on the rear (optional).
Thus, the Fjord 44 Coupé looks like a semi-open coupe or Cabin Cruiser. The doors can be closed according to the weather conditions to protect against the cold or on the contrary create a natural ventilation. Two side doors at the front, two power side windows and a power sunroof modulate the saloon bow as desired. The panoramic glass offers a 360° view.
Fjord's characteristic walk-around deck layout allows easy movement around the boat, from the cockpit to the forward sun deck. On the design side, the Fjord 44 Coupé has the right bow, which is expensive at the yard, as well as high bulwarks that make it safe for even the smallest sailors to travel on board.
Cabin-cruiser amenities
The saloon bow - which promises to be generous in height for easy standing - houses a cockpit with three pilot and co-pilot standing seats, a galley to port and a U-shaped saloon facing each other.
In the cockpit, the U-shaped bench seat with its retractable table (optional) is transformed into a second sunbathing area thanks to the folding backrest. It is also possible to adjust the length of the bench to save space in the cockpit.
Finally, a new bathing platform (approximately 1.45 m long) extends the boat to 13.45 m (11.99 m hull length). As an option, it is equipped with a hydraulic lifting system with an automatically extending staircase.
Living on board with two or four people
Under the deck, a beautiful double berth with bathroom takes place at the bow. In the centre of the boat there is storage space, but can optionally be replaced by a second cabin with 2 single beds.
Two Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines (optional and standard 500 engine) give it a speed of 36 knots. This new model will have its world premiere at Cannes in September 2018.
