Plastimo is launching a new range of technical clothing for the 2019 season called Activ'. The concept: comfortable and protective clothing that keeps freedom of movement. The sailor's outfit consists of a watch jacket and dungarees, which are available in a slim fit for women. For this set, Plastimo worked on modularity, innovations and finishing.
A modular outfit
The overalls consist of easy-to-connect zipped trousers and bustier with zipper on the back and buttoned front hooks. In this way, you can adapt your outfit to sea conditions: full overalls to be well protected or dry pants in drier weather and more chaud?!
On the jacket, a removable skirt (inspired by mountain clothing) with silicone borders for a good fit on the overalls, ensures the waterproofness of the lower back. Installed on a zipper, it can be easily installed or removed.
An innovative outfit
To ensure good protection, especially in bad weather, Plastimo has equipped its jacket with neoprene sleeves that provide a barrier against water, and a high collar with a very protective mask for the face.
A really well finished outfit
The quality is there with many finishing details, such as the VHF pocket that allows the antenna to pass through or the carabiner in the right cargo pocket to attach accessories. There are also hand-warmed pockets lined with fleece, velcro that does not catch, a wrap-around hood with side windows and Cordura reinforcements on the wear parts.
However, this lightweight garment remains warm and insulating thanks to its 3-layer membrane. It will be the ally of all sailors for coastal or offshore navigation, both sailing and motorboat.
With a price of 600 ? (350 ? the jacket and 250 ? the overalls) for a complete outfit, Plastimo offers a good price-quality ratio, taking into account technicality and quality.
