When you put on a jacket, it's because the weather gets cold. Putting on a oilskin often goes hand in hand with wearing a lifejacket. Faced with this situation, Marinepool has just launched a jacket with an integrated vest.
A vest in the jacket
The 220N Offshore Complete Jacket is a sea jacket that has been equipped with a self-inflating vest. The traditional jacket shell is this time an integral part of the jacket. The bladder, which offers a buoyancy of 220 N (the European standard requires a minimum 150 N vest for pleasure boating), is equipped with an automatic trigger type UML (cellulose pellet).
A vest in accordance with ISO standards
To fit snugly to the body, the vest straps rotate inside the jacket and meet in front with a secure buckle. Be careful, it's not a harness. You can't adapt a lanyard. Fully integrated into the jacket, the weight of the vest is well distributed over the shoulders, it is worn without embarrassment.
Integrated internal light
For safety, this vest is equipped with a light inside the bladder. Thus, rather than a simple light point of a flash light for example, it is the whole yellow bladder that becomes a large luminous mass. A plus to recover a man overboard at night. This LED bulb installed at the bottom of the bladder starts working as soon as the vest is immersed in water.
A comfortable and protective jacket
Manufacturer of life jackets, the German Marinepool also has a wide range of technical and sportswear clothing. This jacket combines the skills in both worlds. The jacket is waterproof and breathable with a 2-layer coated fabric and a lightweight lining on the inside. Externally, the fabric is treated with water-repellent treatment. The jacket features a large protective collar and fleece lining for comfort. This collar also contains a hood.
Jacket available in a navy blue/light grey colour is available at 399,90 € (tariff 2019).
