Sealine C390, brightness and decompartmentalization of spaces

The Sealine C390

The latest model from the Sealine shipyard is an 11 m long cruiser designed for family cruises. With numerous comfort and relaxation facilities, it perfectly meets its program and offers a spacious layout for 4 to 6 people.

The Sealine C390 is the third model in the British shipyard's Cruiser range (which has been under the German banner since 2013) and is positioned in the middle of the series, between the C330 (the smallest model) and the C430. 11 m long, this new yacht (12.50 m with platform) combines the driving experience of the smallest model with the facilities of the C430 (11.55 m overall).

As on the other models, we find the large panoramic windows or the bimini and the electric roof, characteristic of Sealine. The C390 takes up the layout discovered on the C330, but with a higher level of finish and high-end features such as the large hydraulic bath platform or the private bathroom with shower separate from the owner's cabin.

A well equipped cockpit

On the main deck, the idea is to offer a level life with a retractable cockpit door that can be fully opened and a tilting window. On the other hand, it will not be possible to return to the cockpit from the port side deck due to the door that obstructs the passage.

In the cockpit, the L-shaped bench turns into a sunbathing area and the electric bimini allows you to shade the space or not. On the very large bathing platform, an outdoor barbecue allows you to enjoy the joys of the outdoor kitchen.

The front deck has a large sunbathing area for three people with reclining backs and a bench seat at the front. Travel on board is easy with well secured decks. A side door on the starboard side facilitates circulation while allowing ventilation.

A spacious and bright interior

In the saloon, the layout is cosy and comfortable with a fully equipped galley to starboard, the return of which serves as a cockpit bar, and a saloon to port. The double helm station at the front is spacious and allows two people to enjoy sailing together.

Under the bridge, the layout is versatile and can accommodate up to three double cabins and two bathrooms. In the standard version, there is a double owner's cabin with its private bathroom and a second cabin on the port side with two single beds and a bathroom. In these two cabins, the height under the beam is perfect, but it is lower in the third cabin, which in the standard version is dedicated to storage (dressing room or storage for nautical toys for example). A total of 4 sleeping configurations are available to sleep up to 6 people on board.

Stability and robustness

The C390 has a V-shaped hull with a straight bow. "The laminated hull reinforcements ensure the boat's strength and reduce weight, while the hull provides excellent stability." explains the designer.

In terms of motorization, the choice is left to two options. As standard, the C390 receives 2 x Volvo Penta D4 300 CH stern drive and optionally 2 x Volvo Penta D6 370 HP stern drive, for speeds of 27 and 34 knots respectively in calm seas.

With this new model, Sealine offers a model with a few finishes that leave something to be desired, but very spacious. Lacquered coatings are an aesthetic choice that is supposed to provide a more upscale positioning to the boat that you may or may not like. Comfortable and well equipped, the C390 perfectly suits its family cruise program with sunbathing, a very large swimming platform and even a barbecue (optional). We particularly appreciate the brightness and this open space in its entirety.
