Flat fender, the absolute weapon to protect its hull

Practical and effective, flat fenders can wear out the hull with friction. Unless you protect it with a fleece face. This is the option chosen by Accastillage Diffusion to produce it for its range of flat fenders.

To protect its hull, we found nothing better than the fender. We take them out when we get to the port and they stow away on the water. The fenders take all shapes to adapt as well as possible to those of the hull: round, ball, lens... but also flat.

The advantage of the flat fender is its storage. They fit well in the trunks. Flat, they can also be used as a cushion if necessary. While these fenders seem ideal for protecting the hull, they also have one main flaw: by rubbing along the shell plating, they eventually wear out the gelcoat or paint, removing the shine.

Pare-battage Accastillage Diffusion

To develop its new range of flat fenders, Accastillage Diffusion has taken this problem into account. Thus these fenders have an external PVC face to withstand UV rays and dock attacks. But the inner side, the one against the hull, is made of polar fleece, a looped fibre that will protect the hull without risk of wearing it out with friction.
