Did you know that it is possible to repaint the floats of a tire or the upholstery of our boats? This is not common, but the new Repaint brand paint now distributed by VDM-Reya offers this type of application.
Developed and manufactured in Spain, Repaint is an aerosol spray that is applied to Vinyl, PVC, Neoprene and Hypalon. Only soft surfaces! This concerns tyre floats, skai seats and even fenders.
The application's operating mode is easy:
- Clean the surface with Repaint Cleaner
- Slightly sand (180) to scratch the surface
- Dust off (with Repaint Cleaner again if necessary)
- Apply 3 coats thinly and spray directly at a distance of 25m, respecting 15 minutes between each coat
- Touch dry in 30 minutes and completely dry to the core in 36 hours
The result is really surprising. Unlike other paints that peel as soon as they are applied to a soft surface, this acrylic paint loaded with plasticizer adheres incredibly well. It even supports the expansion of the strut of the semi-rigid when the pressure increases in the sun. The manufacturer indicates that it is even possible to paint fenders.
The product is available in 400 ml aerosol cans with a covering capacity of 1.80 m2 for one can (1 layer). It is available in 6 colours that apart from black and white have pretty names: Love (red), Ocean (blue), Sand (sand or cream) and Pearl (pearl grey)
