Onda 331 GT, a fast and customizable tender for superyacht

The Greek manufacturer Onda is specialized in tenders for superyachts. He launched his new model, an open hull with semi-rigid floats that protect the boat.

Onda Tenders is a Greek manufacturer founded in 1962. With its two models - Superonda and Magna - it quickly earned a European reputation in the yachting and military sectors. In 2016, the entity was acquired by the broker Riginos Yachts, whose objective was to provide fully customized superyacht tenders, from 8 to 12 m.

After the launch in 2018 of the 341 P - based on the Magna's military hull - and the 321L Limo Tender, the Greek manufacturer will unveil its latest tender, the 331 GT, in September 2019 at Cannes. This 9.90 m long semi-rigid boat is available in outboard and inboard versions.

It is characterized by a fully modular design, allowing each owner to choose from a wide range of options.

"Thanks to more than 40 years of experience in finding yachts for our customers, through our sister company, Riginos Yachts, we are particularly well placed to build what customers want and what they really need" explains George Riginos, CEO of Onda. Before adding "In recent years, we have seen a growing demand for customised open tenders and limo tenders, but with few options to choose from."

The 331 GT has a composite hull with a deep V and two steps, more robust than a carbon fibre hull. According to the yard, with this hull design, there is no need for overmotorization. Thus, with 2 outboard motors of 250 HP, it reaches a speed of 60 knots.

"Fuel consumption is reduced, while performance, range and speed potential are unchanged." george Riginos explains.

3.25 m wide and with a high freeboard, the 331 GT offers a fully modular space with many options.

In the cockpit, there is a rear bench seat with a table that can be transformed from a dining area to a lounge area with a coffee table. The table can also completely disappear into the floor to save space. An additional bench seat unfolds from the leaning-post, which houses a side refrigerator. The console is central and a second U-shaped deck saloon is located at the front.

Many options of floor, hull, tubes or fabrics are available to customize the tender to match the superyacht's image.

"We have worked hard to ensure that the 331 GT is not just a support boat or a tender for a superyacht, but a "mini-yacht" - an autonomous boat in its own right" concludes the founder.

In 2020, a new Limo Tender and a 281 Patrol will complete the range.
