This event will take place in two stages with several animations. A paddle trip down the Seine will take place on Friday 28 June in Paris and an open house will be held on Saturday 29 June to discover the SNSM training and intervention stations and centres in mainland France and overseas.
A 5 km descent on the Seine
For the first time, the SNSM offers the general public the opportunity to participate alongside sea rescuers in a stand-up paddle parade on the Seine, in the heart of Paris. A tribute to the missing will be organized before the paddlers leave for the port of Les Saints-Pères at 3 p.m.
From the Concorde Bridge, participants will paddle to Port Javel Haut, located 5 km away. Boats from the SNSM training and intervention centre in Paris-Ile de France will supervise the event.
Parisian boarding
For the others, boarding is planned on board the Liner, in the company of the Rescue at Sea between 1:45 pm and 2:30 pm. He'll join the paddlers in bleach for the tribute.
A SNSM village
A SNSM village will be set up for the first time in Paris, at the Port des Saint-Pères, in the 6 e arrondissement, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Visitors will be able to attend rescue demonstrations, participate in first aid training, marine knot workshops or experience a virtual reality rescue.
An ephemeral shop will allow you to buy solidarity and a refreshment bar to relax in the heart of the village.
Open house at the SNSM
On Saturday 29 June, the SNSM training and intervention stations and centres in metropolitan France and overseas are organising open days for the general public.
This day will allow you to immerse yourself in the heart of the world of lifesaving with guided tours in lifeboats, lifesaving demonstrations including drones, jet-ski shows, water games and first aid training. Hoisting exercises and sea outings.
