Leopard 53 Powercat, designed to live at home

Leopard 53 PC

Leopard Catamarans will launch its new motor catamaran, the 53 PC, in 2020. This 16.19 m multihull replaces the 51 PC and looks like a real floating house. On board the living spaces are vast, but especially outside, with very many living areas.

Leopard Catamarans is launching its 4th generation multihull with a brand new powercat that will be presented in Miami in 2020. The Leopard 53 Powercat replaces the 51 Powercat (launched in 2013), which had been a real success with boaters, offering space, stability and comfort. The 53 PC is placed alongside the 43 PC in the manufacturer's range of motor catas.

With an overall length of 16.19 m and a master beam of 7.67 m, the 53 PC offers many living spaces. It is available in 3 or 4 cabin versions (with an optional separate crew cabin) with as many bathrooms with separate shower cabins.

On the main deck, the galley has been placed aft to create a large interior/exterior space when the cockpit sliding doors are open. It is installed across the entire rear width, with the refrigerator/freezer and sink on the port side and the 4-burner stove, microwave and plenty of storage space on the starboard side.

The front of the saloon is reserved for relaxation with an L-shaped sofa with a low table on the port side and a sofa with a television on the starboard side. As an option, it is possible to add an additional helm station to starboard. Traffic is easily accessible via the large central passage, which connects the cockpit to the foredeck, which is accessed through the front door of the saloon.

The latter is bathed in light and offers a clear view to the front with many windows. The movement on board is fluid, since it is possible to pass through both inside and outside, via the wide gangways.

Outside, the space and layout have been optimized to offer the most living spaces. Starting with the cockpit with its L-shaped bench seat, dining table and sunbathing area. Several layout configurations are available. The wide skirts and the rear platform to store the tender are all surfaces to jump into the water.

The front deck also offers two additional sunbathing areas. But the heart of the boat is its large flybridge, accessible by a cockpit staircase to starboard, and protected by a hard-top.

There is the helm station to starboard, providing excellent visibility and a U-shaped saloon to port. The outdoor kitchen (optional) offers a grill and a refrigerator to enjoy high-rise meals. Finally, a large sunbathing area at the back invites you to relax.

With 2 Yanmar engines of 370 HP, the 53 PC should reach a maximum speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 17.5 knots. The announced autonomy is 342 mn at maximum speed and 463 mn at cruising speed.

This new model will be to be discovered in Miami in 2020 and then in La Grande-Motte in 2020.
