Water Raid between Houat and Hoëdic for the Tricat rally

On the weekend of June 15-16, 2019, the Breton shipyard Tricat organized a gathering of owners of folding and transportable trimarans. 12 boats and 60 people enjoyed sailing from Locmariaquer to the islands of Houat and Hoëdic. A gathering to discover in video.

On June 15 and 16, 2019, Tricat invited owners and prospects for a rally in Quiberon Bay. The shipyard based in Morbihan (56), in Plescop, has been building and marketing the famous Tricat trimarans, which are transportable and foldable, from 20 to 30 feet since 1998.

On the program this weekend, 60 people gathered in the bay of Quiberon and 12 boats of owners. These include the current range of Tricats 20, 25 Evolution and 30, as well as older models such as the Access 6, launched in 2011, and the first generation Tricat 25, launched in 2006.

On the 1st day, the trimaran fleet left Locmariaquer (56) for Hoëdic Island for a dinner at the island's fort. A cloudy and sporty day with 25/30 knots of wind which allowed the future customers to validate the very marine behaviour of the boat. As a reminder, Antoine Houdet, manager of the Tricat shipyard, came from offshore racing and drew inspiration from his experience as a sailor to design his habitable and high-performance boats.

Thanks to a reduced draught of 0.4 m for the Tricat 30, the multihulls were able to moor along the floating pontoon, as close as possible to the beaches. Tricat are also stranded.

The next day, the sun accompanied the sailors to the island of Houat, with 10/12 knots of wind. A day less wet than veille?! Tour of the island and anchorage were on the programme for this Father's Day, before returning to Locmariaquer.
