The company SEAir based in Lorient, in Morbihan (56) has developed systems around foils to fly boats, and more particularly semi-rigid boats. With its amazing sliding sensations and easy handling, the 5.50 m model is particularly suitable for the role of a toy.

A semi-rigid hydrofoil

In an era when foils are becoming more and more popular - especially in the sailing world -, the Breton company SEAir has developed a technology of retractable and servo-operated foils, specially adapted to motor boats. What could be more exhilarating than being able to "fly" on the water while freeing yourself from the waves? What could be more fun than indulging in the joys of speed without having to overmotorize your boat?

With its 5.50 m long semi-rigid foil, SEAir offers a real toy to have fun on the water and enjoy incredible sensations. Thanks to its elegant, all-carbon appendages, the boat slides on the water to support itself and it's like being on a flying carpet. Very smoothly, the tyre goes at more than 20 knots and it's even more impressive in front of the chop. No shock or crash, the SEAir Flying Tender sails on its foils, which act as shock absorbers.

In addition to the pleasure and sensations that the experience brings, the comfort is remarkable, since the waves are "reduced".

At the forefront of innovation

To further improve the perception of high comfort, SEAir has developed an electronic attitude stabilizer. This system called CRIS, which can be activated by pressing a button, controls the trim and angulations of both foils in real time.

With CRIS, you can fully enjoy a smooth glide and horizontal flight without having to worry about adjustments.

No need to overmotorize

With a flight starting at 15 knots, this small boat can exceed 30 knots. But SEAir recommends an ideal speed of between 18 and 25 knots.

The flight requires less power and SEAir has understood that. Thus, with a motor of lower power, the semi-rigid is more powerful than a motor boat with the same motorization. It goes 20% faster and the fuel savings are between 25% and 50%. Ideal therefore to save money on purchases, but also on consumption.

A toy to have fun

With its small size of 5.50 m, the SEAir is an ideal toy for superyacht. Its foils make it a superb boat for fun and piloting while experiencing a maximum of sensations. With its retractable foils, it can be stored easily, and is even transportable to the road gauge.

A boat for towed sports

Thanks to its foils, the SEAir passes comfortably through the rough seas without being attacked by the chop on its hull. It is suitable for all sliding sports and once the games in the water are over, you can reach the beach and enjoy the beauty without any problems thanks to the retractable foils that retract at the push of a button.

A dayboat for day trips

In addition to the 5.50 m, SEAir also offers two other, larger models: the 7 m FlyingTender and the 7.65 m AirSharl. True dayboats, they can accommodate more people on board for comfortable journeys.
