The manufacturer of the Aventura range took a long time to to present us its latest model: the Aventura 44 . Indeed, this one was initially announced for the 2018 season and it is finally in September 2019 that it will be presented to the public at the Cannes Motor Show.
We have just received the first images of the sailboat sailing off Corsica. Let us recall that this catamaran is built in Tunisia. If it takes the hulls of the old Aventura 43 model, it is a brand new deck and a new deckhouse that was designed by the architect Samer Lasta.
Eric Roger, site manager, explains:" At the beginning of the project we only wanted to "only" redesign the deckhouse, but finally we completely redesigned the entire mould of the bridge. It is this choice that has put us a little behind schedule, accompanied by strong growth in the rest of the production, which has mobilized the teams well ".
Thus the Aventura 44 has a new and very modern line. " Besides, by redoing the whole bridge ", explains Eric Roger, " we were able to integrate into the mould elements that had previously been added, such as the outer square or the steering station. We have thus saved on the construction weight and this catamaran is slightly lighter than the 43 while it is more equipped ."
Lightweight, rigid thanks to the choice to keep the rear beam, this sailboat proves to be a good sail walker even in light winds. The first owner who just took possession of it is very happy with it. He plans a program of a liveaboard cruise all year round on the boat. For this reason he chose the 3 cabins, knowing that it is possible to fit out the catamaran with 4 cabins, but for the moment no picture of the interior is yet visible. It will be necessary to wait until the Cannes Motor Show to discover it.
Displayed at 349,000 euros excluding tax (2019 price) almost naked (count between 430 and 460,000 euros excluding tax for an equipped sailboat), it is still about 120,000 euros cheaper than a Lagoon of the same size...
