Royal Falcon One, a Porsche naval spaceship

The Royal Falcon One is a 41.5 m catamaran designed by Porsche Design studio. Ten years after his order in 2009! it has just been launched. Its bold design as well as the studio that designed it may make you talk.

In 2009, Porsche Design designed a "never-before-seen" yacht for Singapore-based Royal Falcon Fleet. The specifications are simple, the boat must look like a "naval spaceship" and must be a catamaran. The idea is to create a surface area equivalent to that of a 210-foot monohull, all on a 135-foot catamaran.

While from the rear and side, the design of the Royal Falcon One may seem standard, it is at the front that it stands out. Its two floats frame a rounded and almost entirely glazed superstructure. A design inspired by the world of sports cars.

After 10 years of construction, the superyacht has just left the Kockums North European shipyard in Nynäshamn, Sweden, where it was built in the greatest secrecy. Delivered to its owner, the Royal Falcon One - known as the Royal Falcon Fleet 135 - is currently sailing in Scandinavian waters.

Built according to Lloyd's Register classification, the Royal Falcon One is powered by two 16V 4000 M93L MTU diesel engines from 4?600 hp and two Rolls-Royce KaMeWa jet engines that provide an estimated top speed of 35 knots and a range of 2?000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 30 knots.

The interior layout has been designed on four decks: upper deck, intermediate deck, main deck and hulls. The flybridge offers a cockpit with sophisticated navigation equipment, but also a jacuzzi, a bar and a solarium.

The intermediate deck has a main wheelhouse and the master's cabin. There are also luxurious suites and the large owner's cabin with lounge, kitchen and private terrace.

The main deck is dedicated to community life with a large forward lounge, a dining room opening onto the outside terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, crew quarters and three guest cabins.

Finally, the two hulls receive four crew cabins, the chief engineer's and chief officer's cabins, a laundry room, storage spaces and on-board equipment systems.
