Web series / Driven by the Wind: a dream anchorage in Barbuda

Sarah, Aurélien and Nael headed for Barbuda, an island in the northern Lesser Antilles, north of Antigua. The opportunity to discover the post-IRMA era and enjoy the joys of the paradise island.

It was in Barbuda that Maloya's crew decided to cast off. This island in the northern Lesser Antilles was hit hard by the IRMA hurricane, particularly the village of Codrington, the main residence of the inhabitants. But now it is time for reconstruction so that everyone can find a home.

Despite the hurricane, Barbuda retains the charm of the Caribbean islands: white sand with a pink tinge, turquoise water, a lagoon that shelters one of the largest frigate colonies in the West Indies, and many species of fish and lobsters.

Enough to allow Sarah, Aurélien and Nael to enjoy the joys of their anchorage by indulging in their favourite activities: paddle, paddle yoga, windsurfing, windsurfing, windsurfing, or even kitesurfing, which Sarah practices at three months of pregnancy

Barbuda is also the island on which Nael celebrates her second birthday, aboard her houseboat, Maloya, surrounded by her parents and friends. And when the family doesn't practice sliding sports, they enjoy the island's paradisiacal beaches, having lunch with lobsters and fish cooked on the barbecue.
