Five Multi50s competed from 23 to 25 August 2019 in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc on the Multihull Trophy. This first meeting of the year for 50-foot multihulls included a high-flying platform and only foilers.

After seven races in three days on the Multihull Trophy, Lalou Roucayrol (Lalou Multi) won ahead of Thibaut Vauchel-Camus (Solidaires En Peloton - ARSEP). This first Multi50 confrontation, which took place in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, allowed Sébastien Rogues (Primonial) to show his full potential. On the 7 races raced, the Baulois rider took four second places and thus takes 3rd place on the podium.

"We were dangerous and I am happy to offer my whole team this place on the podium. On board was Matthieu Souben, who knows the Multi50 well, and a team of young people who sail in sports multihulls. Our ambition for the next grand prizes is to win manches?! We are facing crews from dingue?! Thibaut's, Lalou's, it's very high level... These Multi50s are 100% fun, it's a drug. They are powerful, they bring adrenaline. For me it is no longer possible to go back..." explains the skipper.

This last day of racing was decisive, since before the races of the day, four crews could still win. However, Loïc Féquet (Ciela Village), who led the debates in very light winds during the first two days, was unable to confirm his place. While he lacked speed, Lalou Roucayrol showed impressive speed at all speeds on all three breeze races. While the overall victory seemed to have been won by Thibaut Vauchel-Camus, the last race was won by Lalou Roucayrol.

"We had to fight, but we ended up with arriver?! In the 6th run, we steal the start, we do a 360° and we win the run: today, we really had the speed. Our sails, new, are very beautiful and very efficient. We have a great gennaker, we have worked a lot on our sails and the deck layout. The crew is now well trained and the boat is comfortable in the breeze. It's a great reward for the work you've done." concludes the skipper of the Multi50 Lalou Multi.
